Leicester Premium Biltong was founded with one goal: To introduce high-quality, flavourful and authentic biltong to the UK.

 

As a child growing up in southern Africa, eating biltong is as common as eating crisps. Unfortunately, after moving to the UK, we were unable to find any authentic halal biltong. Occasionally, family and friends flying in from Africa were able to bring a small amount of biltong, but this reduced as import restrictions increased.

 

As a result, we began to make our own biltong at home for personal use. Over the years, we perfected our recipe and drying technique through trial and error, and eventually developed the perfect formula.

 

After considerable persuasion from family and friends, we decided to embark on the adventure of introducing our authentic, premium quality biltong and chilli bites to the wider public.
